Sunday Funday

A much needed family day out in the city led to a midday hangover.

My parents, sister, Aiden and I went for brunch at this lovely Mediterranean restaurant called Barbounia. I LOVED it. From my first sentence, you should know that they had bottomless brunch and my bellinis BARELY had any peach. I surely took advantage because my parents drove and there were 3 other adults present.

The food was everything I needed (I love food y’all).

It was a day that just FELT GOOD. I missed my sister. Before I changed jobs, we were able to speak pretty much everyday. Ever since starting at the school and her changing jobs, we miss each other’s calls regularly. She’s a chef, so she doesn’t have the regular work schedule some of us have. You would think she lives across the country how little I get to see and talk to her–she lives in Brooklyn about 35/40 minutes away. Anyway, sitting at the table with these 4, Aiden included, was all I needed on Sunday.

We ate. We walked. We went to Sephora (see previous post). We played at the park. There were lots of laughs. Pure shenanigans. It was just good vibes.

These are the moments we need to cherish and take advantage of. Our plan is to do an outing like this at least once every 2 months. Everyone’s busy, but we have to make time for family.
