Self-Care Sunday
/I’ve talked briefly about a self care routine previously and how I was going to get back to it. Well, I’m not quite there yet. However, I think it’s very important to not limit my self care to only Sundays. I decided I’m going to set self care goals that I’ll plan to meet throughout the week.
For one, I plan on resuming my weekly mud face masks. Granted, that sounds like a self-maintenance kind of thing, but let’s remember that self care is about intentionality. If my face looks clearer and brighter, I’m going to feel better about my skin, no? I may be reaching, but the face mask routine was initially a part of a bigger picture: Aiden would go to sleep; I’d light a candle; run a bath with either oils, foams, or something in it and turn on a podcast. That was my Sunday self care routine. My moment to release and let go of the previous week fully/put a great start to the week to come. I got away from that a little, but will work to get back there.
Anyway, in this self care expansion that I plan to do throughout the week, I’m looking to do things that will lessen stress overall and increase a sense of peace.
Here are my goals for the week. I’m only going to give myself 3:
Decreased phone use- no phone between 6-7PM (pertains more so to texts and social media)
Read at least 3 times this week for 30 minutes minimum
Drink 1 gallon of water per day
I’m hoping those of you who are reading this hold me accountable!
