MOM STORIES: It took 10 years

Sometimes the journey to motherhood is one that takes patience and perseverance. This mom took the time to share her journey with us and for that I am grateful! I hope her story brings about feelings of hope for those who may need it. Please read her story below:

For as long as I could remember, all I wanted to be when I grew up was a mom. My husband and I thought we had everything figured out and it was time to bring a baby into our lives, but it didn’t happen when we wanted. I unfortunately struggled with infertility for many years. We had many losses including our stillborn daughter in 2014. We decided to put things off for a few years, then I randomly became pregnant in 2017. We had a rough but beautiful pregnancy. My daughter was born prematurely at 28 weeks. The NICU stay was an emotional rollercoaster to say the least, but here I am holding my perfectly healthy baby girl, After nearly 10 years of dreaming of this day.
